id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Wandering Soul for the award below. Another one I am truly grateful for and from a fellow blogger whom I also consider a friend too. So thanks.

Now on with the rant.:

Now those who have read my blog when I started (or back read) will know I am not a ranter. I do not moan or get angered by things often, but this for me is something of many minor things that lately have just pissed me off. Some are mundane and others observances or just the country itself.

Okay I'll start with the first one: Earth Hour.
Now to be fair I shall say I am aware of it but I completely forgot about it. Having said that I noted (and I'd love to hear if this occurred anywhere else or is in fact true) that in Singapore they turned off there power and the residents were reduced to candles and twilight lighting from the moon. They also were well advertised and a lot of people participated.
Now as far as I am aware, the UK as a whole mentioned nothing.
Nothing at ALL about Earth Hour, I mean while we're on it they don't talk about Earth Day or any other Earth related subjects that deal with turning off power or making an acknowledgement.
So who's supposed to know? I mean how do people find out if they don't hear by word of mouth or happen to pass a link on some blog or page? Is it not the Governments whom are supposed to provide information? I mean personally I don't see the Civil Centre or anything like that being able to answer that question. Probably more likely to be thrown by it and have to look it up.

While we are on the Earth related side of things I have another rant that perhaps is more location based but by no means limited to just the UK its self and I am more than sure you've seen something like it or have something like it near you too.
What I am talking about is:
Ridiculous sized TV screens in car Parks or non residential areas (shopping malls, near cinema complexes) that seem to be on all hours and just either blaring noise and light pollution.
In this time of 'climate change' ( I personally think its a load of crap and a way to get taxes. Yes we haven't helped the either but how do we know its not a normal cycle of the earth anyway? (personal view PLEASE NO FLAMES. I do not care.)).
Why aren't we turning that off along with all the unneeded lamppost's on motorways and just dimming in residential and city's? (They do this in Canada and I saw perfectly well even in the alleyways). Also in London all those moving billboards in Piccadilly what an eye sore!
A waste of resources and time.

Now for the minor rant: Why are Councils (this probably applies more to the UK but who knows you may witness this in other countries too), think its a brilliant idea to send out the strimmers (god I hate those things) to butcher the grass when its pouring with rain? Or even when the grass is so short it can barely disguise the ground beneath it? I mean they say to never mow when its raining and when the grass is to short. So why do they pay them to do so when this is not needed or required? Then just leaving the weeds to get in or in fact (as many areas around the main shopping towns) just muddy and half kept grass.
Along with the cutting down of century old trees for a bus shelter when a perfectly good one functions inside the shopping centre itself.

*sigh* Rant over.

Thank you for reading and letting me pipe off about these things.

Much blessings

Evening Breeze

A lovely Award - With thanks

I have a lovely new award with thanks to AusGaia, (please see awards on the right a scroll down). Who was two faced; one looking toward the future and one looking back at the past. January is a month of reflection over what should be left behind in 2009 and what to plan and look forward too in 2010.

Though there is strong temptation to just snuggle and hibernate through this month, to burst out in the month of February when the sun makes his travel higher into the sky and the flowers begin to brave blooming from month Earth.

We must be strong and begin sowing seeds in this fertile month. Start the ball rolling and keep nudging until it can roll alone into the next month and so forth. We must reflect and take note of this we wish to leave behind in 2009 and keep those seeds we wish to continue with us for 2010.

For me I am leaving behind those negative thoughts of being jobless, body image and general heartache behind. I am taking with me, the love, friendships, prosperity and new craft talents of 2009.
In 2010 I am planning to open my Etsy shop, to keep working where I am (as a long-term temp) and enjoying those friends and meeting new ones. Also the big plan to get rolling (still need to get on with it) is my planning to work and live in Canada for 2011. If myself and Ash enjoy it we'll plan to live there permanently.

Other things to look forward to are my Hedgewitch year, all the sabbats and to perhaps do one stall of my goodies in London craft fair.

What do you have planned? I hope you have a wonderful January and your plans for this year are prosperous!

Blessed be,

Evening Breeze

What has the Woodland Witch been up to?

Well so much for four posts a month, but I will be updating more reguarly from now on!
This will be a massive update on what I've been doing and hopefully you'll let me know your views and what you've been doing also?! I do hope so!
A big welcome and thank you to more readers and I hope you've wound your way through all my previous posts. I shall be looking at your blogs, and leave little messages to say hello and thanks etc.

So on with the mass update:

Well firstly, I've been working for about 8 months as a temp which is good, and thats helped with my family, and xmas and just making me feel better in general.
I've made some lovely friends and hope to make and effort to keep in contact with them and more recently I've learnt to knit and so in turn the ladies whom taught me have inspired a 'Stitch 'n' bitch' group on Tuesdays (next week and there after).

I sighed up to a Witch group which started in late September? I can't recall now, but I've met and made such lovely people and friends and its sad to think that on the 14th Dec will be our last group meeting. It will be an amazing Yule ritual but sad to part ways also.

I joined the group to meet like minded individuals as I felt lonely being a solitary and wanted to feel part of the community and so when I discovered the group in a small advert book I jumped at the chance. The group has started from the ground up on how to understand and follow witchcraft (or wicca but I detest that word lol). I have throughly enjoyed hearing other peoples views and understandings on witchcraft as well as learning about herbs and doing lots of meditation in a group. Last week we made some wonderful mojo bags and I shall try take a picture to show you. One for protection in the car and prosperity (I tailoured it for my whole family/home). Then the monday coming we'll be doing Candle magic which I am super excited about. Then full moon ritual a break and Yule.
I've enjoyed working with everyone so much and I hope to see them on the Tuesdays moot's at the end of each month and perhaps some people on the Hedgewitch course which I've signed up to for next year as well.

It also gave me a little extra push to move on in my studies and continue on with my BOS write up (i've got it all planned out on lots of paper lol) as well as decide that in Janurary 2010 I shall commit to studying the Tarot for a year and a day, I've got a little book ready to put all my notes and discoveries in so we'll see how it goes.

On the Witchy front how did everyone's Samhain go? I do hope you all had a super spooky time. I had a lovely one enteraining the kids from our close and making them play games 'tricks' to earn those treats. :)
What is everyone planning for Yule? I think I shall enjoy the ritual with my group and then doing my little Yule charm which I shall share with you nearer Dec so that you all may bring yourself some Yule prosperity for next year too.

I have many interesting articals from my journal and such to bring you over the rest of this month and next as well as checking out my craft blog: Lady Locket for my xmas updates on things I've made and what I've bought hehe, so please if your a crafty have a look.

The articals are: reading clouds and symbols in the sky, whispering in the wind, Traffic magic, mindful magic - off setting the winter blues, and finally Yule charm.
So look forward to those and please if theres anything you'd like to know/covered then just ask.

Here's an interesting Artical of which I hope you'll all read Please do tell me your views I'm interesting in a discussion!

I hope your all well and I've been reading your blogs even if I've not written on my own for a while. Missed you all.

Brighest Blessings.

Evening Breeze

Time never stands still

I guess its one thing that annoys me about being employed lol I don't have much time to blog and do my witchy work as much as I used to. I mean as I said before I still do my prayer work and talk to the Lord and Lady each day but I haven't sat down and sorted my BOS or just written in my journal in months.

I guess the only contact apart from reading your blogs (but then never making time to comment!) is Pagan FM a lovely little podcast show from the US.

I do miss not blogging as much as I used to and also doing my embroidery for the Sabbats. I've just sadly realised it Lammas this saturday and the plush embroidered corn dolly is still just a drawing on a peice of paper in my craft bag! I haven't even got it in the hoop :(

Its made me feel very sad that I've not even noticed and this year I did promise to myself to better intergate my life with my faith rather than treating it like a hobbie and just dipping in and out and also connect with each season by embroidery (my other passion). I know you could say 'well you still communicate' and I do, I also go for long walks in nature and notice the birds and other creatures talk to trees and read the clouds in the sky.

Which was somthing I was going to blog about, messages in the sky and such. Add it to the list lol. I just feel like thats what I've been doing adding my faith and things to do with it, to make a connection with in it on a list. And doing what? Well I haven't a clue how I've wasted my weekends but I've managed to.

As for general life its quite good, work is fine and I have new people to make friends with which is something apart from my lack of making time for things in my weekends was getting me down. I have many people I know and love or adore but not many whom I can count on one hand who like me would drop it all to be there for them. I guess I am open and would love friends and have been considering a friend spell in order to draw them in but again add to the list.

I would like crafty, spiritual minded friends whom share simliar interest with me, I'd also like a couple more penpales as I'm a keen letter writer. I've considered a route for going on witchvox and adding myself to their huge list of people but decided against it. I'd rather have people who live nearer me, or whom are willing for the penmenship friendship (as many pefer email which I forget to do lol).

I guess I just feel lonely. Plain and simple. I know fmaily and my partner are there, but gosh sometimes a girl just needs her friends and I really haven't got many who live near me or whom I would consider my good friends whom tango fairely with me and lifes interesting paths.

I also appolgise for the lack of interesting blogs and time spent in writting them like I used to.

Much love,

Evening Breeze

Scotney's Deva's

Taken at Scotney National Trust house. The Goddess for this sabbat is that of Flora love, flowers, and romance.

Celebration activities:
A good excuse for dressing up as faries and freedom of dance and movement. To hang ribbons on favourite trees and bushes in the spring and summer colours to celebrate the beauty of nature awakening. I normally place the ribbons (white, red and yellow) on the trees in my gardens and of course my Deva tree.
If your lucky to have a Maypole then dancing will ensue with that! I'm looking forward to seeing it at the festival above and hopefully particitpating!

For my festival gear I'm taking my spring/summer headdress and Tamborine I was gifted with at Ostara by my Soulamate ^^

I'll make sure to post my pictures of the days events on here monday. Along with the egg pic's from my Ostara! ^^ Also my embroidery for Beltane will be posted when completed.

Bright blessings and Happy Beltane!

Evening Breeze x

Spring is finally alive.

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; This year will be the 50th Celebration that reminds us to be aware of the effects we cause as human begins to our Mother Earth and the damage that has already taken place. Many events have occurred on this day.

Earth Day is celebrated in the Spring on the 22nd of April and in the Southern Hemisphere its celebrated during the autumn period.

Previously Earth Hour was conducted this month and this is were people are asked to turn of their lights for an hour to vote for change in our environmental views and practices.
For further information regarding this please go here.

Other Earth Day events are that in March the 20th the UN celebrates Earth day, a tradition which was founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969.

There's also a festival which is celebrated in New York called Green Apple Music and Arts Festival, which is happening there year on the 17th - 19th of April for more details go here.

Earth Day is also a common day that's both celebrated by environmental activists and Eco warriors but then condemned and written off by others whom deem it a pointless day and unworthy of attention due to its very nature and ideas.

For me personally I welcome it and would love it to become more recognised and celebrated (also a bank holiday would be nice lol) Its a perfect time to do some healing magic and Earth Peace workings as well.

Here is a Meditation healing spell for our Mother Earth by Nancy Bennett*:

Dress in blue today to represent the ocean and/or green to represent the Mother Earth.
Find a quiet place where you can be undisturbed. Picture in your mind the Earth slowly spinning. See the Sun rise above it, showering it in strong light. Breathe in deeply and then begin to chant:

The worlds spins round
the Sun rises bright
soon will be found
a way to make it right.

The world spins round
the wind blows free
a way will soon be found
to heal her and me.

As you chant, imagine the world cleansed of disease and despair. Picture rich forests, happy people, and clean water. Saturate yourself in these images. When you are done with your meditation, stand up and go outside. Deva's are the glue that binds the fabric of the universe together.

From my personal experience and living near a Deva (right opposite my home). They are strong, wise and powerful in aiding all magic or sabbats. You will have a Deva for birds, plants, flowers to trees (not having to be exact species) they are the force of Mother Earth whom, guides, governs and watches them grow. When new roads, houses or towns crop up many Deva's are lost.

In my Spiritual experience they are open sources to feed on the soul of universal energy and unless replaced by a tree, shrub or flower evil spirits and lurking souls move in to take the open and never ending source of energy. This is one of many reasons why hauntings' in newly built residential areas occur.

So make sure there are no open Deva holes and if so replace with a plant. You can detect a missing Deva by the haunting but also the feeling of too much energy, a flooding of emotions or even a case of an Elemental being present in the room. Some over time left untouched with an Elemental in place can become angry and unapproachable. Merely leaving a plant near and in line with the energy will do the trick without having to engage with the hostile Elemental.

Why just plants? Well, I personally have never met or seen an animal one, river or lake as these keep to themselves and are wary of man (quite rightly so!) and avoid common destruction in built up areas. For me it is mostly plants that I have met that take a beating.

Also Lay lines have a key part in Deva's lives and they draw that universal energy upwards to pass that energy onwards to the area of which they survey. I have 3 or 4 lay lines meeting in and around my house and mostly lead back and connect under my Deva neighbour.

Deva's are life and energy in motion and can manifest fey to helping those in the garden or looking after the home to becoming and archangel itself! To help those around it and spirits of the surrounding homes, gardens and woodlands.

Deva's can be buildings though for me I would say its mostly buildings that are old in history to gaining love and respect from an owner or status (such as a library of cinema) over many life times. They posses personalities (much like your home gains one from the occupants love but I would say its more spirit than Deva.) and when the loss of a building, (tree, flower, river..) Deva occurs it is felt by all Deva's and those whom shall miss it.

The only Deva building I met was an old cinema in my local town. A beautiful 1920's building with a grand staircase, lights and feel. 3 screens and old style popcorn maker. ABC owned it and I spent all of my youth visiting there to see films. When they planned to knock it down my heart sank, flats were going to replace it. I had an old heart and wisdom of many decades under its belt.

It knew of its fate and I felt it left that place long before the demolition began. I hold that great beauty and love of those memories in my heart. Though when the Deva left the whole town lost its heart and has since almost become a ghost down as the buildings energy are that of quiet solitude.

That Deva was the entertainment, the heart of fun and shopping glee now its gone. Deva's when they find appreciation of their talents and beauty hone themselves to aid and succeed in the chosen art. Though my Tree Deva was the centre piece of fun and game and protection.

Even though we are gown up he is still there watching over us and is witness to the occasional adult game of tag in the summer months. The warm breezes and new life springing forth in flowers (such as the Daffodil) and the Easter egg (children and animals making way for mating season) with the sacred spiral to reaffirm the continual cycle with positivity.

The bean below will symbolise the awakening of Mother Earth (Gaia) and the rising of the God. All are shaking off ties to winter and the last year. Letting go and taking stock has passed and now we look forward to preparing, being inspired, and making plans. We remove clutter and cleanse though 'Spring cleaning!' the time of also sorting out our homes but magical cupboards to and making note of items and candles, herbs and oils we'll need and to renew. Adding and ticking off the list as we go, so we are ready throughout the warmer months.

It is also a time to move forward another step in those 'long term' plans/dreams and/or being thankful for the parts of those that have come true and leading you ever closer.

Take a moment to listen to the bird song, the gentle breeze and feel the sun on your skin, reach up arms wide and draw down the sun and the feeling of spring into you, let if flow and warm you down to your toes, open your eyes and thank the Lord of spring and any gifts recently bestowed or blessings in time of need and anxiety.

Activities over today and the weekend:

Gardening, Horse Riding, walking in the woods or nature. I was flicking through some prints of Jessica Galthbreth's work and in the collection (I'd already picked out Coventine - - celtic fairy goddess) I came across Bast with a black leopard beside her. The drawing spoke to me and I felt deeply connected with her.

After a few years, I should explain; I have a wolf as my main totem animal, then my second at this point in time was a crow. Until I was gift by Bast with a black leopard as my second totem animal and we have worked well together ever since. In breif I was gifted with her as sign of my progression in life/path, and to help me throughtout my journey and that Bast will always be with me. A welcome presance and Goddess in my home.

So since then I have wanted a statue to honour her and have the presance there in visual. So until last year I couldn't find one I liked, wasn't the right price or just looked plain naff. Then I found it, again at Witchfest, but the International one (see above) and got it for just £7.00 PERFECT! She sits on my shrine over looking the altar and my room.

Now a smattering of lore on Bast:

Bast is sacred and connected to many elements and household magic in Egypt, to fertility and to childbirth. Cats were/are considered to be the off-spring of this Sun Goddess, Lady of the Flame and protector and follower of Justice. Cats were revered in the home for scaring rodetns and snakes inspiring protection for children, abundance of life from the birthing of kittens, luck, prosperity, and fertility (from having many kittens). In 1000 Bc, Bast took on the Clutivated feline features and assumed the gentler cat qualities. The Diety becaem linked to pleasure, perfume, celebrations, music, dancing, and joy. Also linking with the Sun for the scarab (solar symbol) around her neck.. Cat's were honoured and mourned in their passing and given the full egytion burial rites. Other aspects of Bast displayed with kittens and was common for women to utilise charms of Bast and how many kittens to corrospong with the number of children they wanted to birth. Bast is the symbol of feminem power and appeals to women and pagans for her qualities and mystery.

May she always guide me.

Hail and bless Goddess Bast!

Evening Breeze.

Ps.I look forward to using this charm when I plan on having children of my own.

----

Ref: Estha McNevin

The spiritual moodboard

Well, when I first got into the craft and while at home I was focused in my magic and studies. Then it dwindled as I went to uni for I guess that was more important and as I hadn't managed to intergrate it fully into my everyday life I struggled to keep in contact. So I designed myself a magical mood board that was a visual altar and act as a focus and aid for my studies and spiritual needs.

I had one in all the places I lived while at university and this helped a great deal in helping me still feel conected with the faith I chose and the path I wanted to follow. Now I couldn't have the altar as people would fiddle and things may get broken ect so I felt this replaced that and held the same sacredness but without the minding of keep people away or onwers judgement.

I feel that when I get a place of my own, I'll have just my personal altar, the house altar and then the shine in the kitchen. If I require any further ones the magical moodboard would be my first choice, and an easy one to add and take away items and place gifts on and words of wisdom and messages.

You could also as you could create and altar, make a magical mood board for prosperity, love, healing of a friend to help focus your prayers, or ideas for the garden, the herbs you need to keep track of or even a board of your children when they've grown and moved away or at university/college to protect and put all those things you'd love to say or send but won't.

The ideas are endless and for me it helped through the time in my life when I was busy with other things and had but a few seconds to spend with god/dess.

Bright Blessings,

Evening Breeze.

~*Update! *~

Hello all, for those who've read the topic below, I've a little update on it. So when our old neighbours left and new ones came we welcomed them, lent tools and were nice (and still are). But the neighbours wife wasn't nice, nor was she happy, they would switch our tools with the broken ones, throw dog poo in our garden (when we had the low fence) and generally she would aim all her negativity towards us but mostly my father.

Though I may mention now my father is a Spiritualist and strong in his magic. Never once did we send her bad energy, we would just seal our home and ourselves from her and them. Then as this progressed and she got worse in her ways, we shut it out completely built high fences, strong barriers and placed protection and wards all round.

Time passed and her negative ways dwindled towards us, and we calmed into a happy state without the strong enforcement of protection.

Until recently that is. She is a regular visitor to Glastonbury. Now you may wonder why I mention this but our spiritual guides advise us that she has gained a bad mojo alie.

Thus creating this spiritual spider to break into our home (through our magical shields) and leech my dad of all energy. Her negative vibes have created this creature to act our her anger towards my father. So when he finally saw it in action for himself he quickly sealed and today I cast and cleansed the house. Tonight we'll redo our magical barrier and make it anew and stronger than before to keep her out for ever more.

For cleansing of power mojo, negative energy of home (From outside sources and your own), and any evil lurks, light a white candle (or use your fire candle) and walk the house in a clockwise and start from the front door and go left from there. (Including upstairs, no separation) and as you go say:

This house is cleansed,

only good lay within,

Blessings and mercy reside,

in the room.

Once completed, take up the sacred bell and go clockwise around in each room and ring while, marking EVERY door, window and mirror with a drawn pentagram and say 'Protected'

once finished, go to the centre of the house (mine is in the upper landing) and say:

My home is cleansed,

all negative energy rejected,

evil spirits or creatures evicted,

Only positive light shines within and sparkles without,

May all negative sent my way be sent back and all avoid my home.

With harm to none,

may this spell not reverse or place upon me any curse,

So mote it be!

Ring the bell 3 times and cleanse and energise one self.

For cleansing of the affected area or person's place of rest, take sandalwood incense and ask the element of air and the power of sandalwood to cleanse and protect the area:

Protect the affected,

send all energy back to its creator,

and keep its creature in their domain.

Blessed Be.

Leave the sandalwood to burn and remove once done.

Other measures I've taken are cleansing the wind chimes in the house and out in the garden with protection. You can chose to place on your altar to charge them, or as I have done, charge with my power hand; I've taken this from Scott Cunningham's Earth,Air,Fire,Water book:

Wind chimes,

Spell rhymes,

Spell chimes,

Wind rhymes.

Air primes

Spell chimes,

Nine times,

Nine.

Chime the wind chimes, and listen. They are charged and ready to protect you and your home.

re-charge every month.

Other forms of protection can be chants written on coloured card with drawings or symbols of protection over windows (or the main front door) offer protection.

But this situation requires added powerful magic in the form of another common form of protection is the Witch bottle. Now I'll be making two one for the front and one for the back of the house. They'll be in plain sight and in the light of the sun and moon for added boots of protection.

You will need:

The bottles (or jam jars) large or small, preferable white glass. With lids or corks.

Sharp objects: nine pins, 3 nails, glass, broken shells, mirror, sharp stones,

sand & salt (good pinch full), and red wine. If you have on you a small silver angel, pentagram or moon place those in to as symbols of protection for you, your family and home.

The spell:

The bottles (or jam jars) are to be placed with the items on the altar in sacred space (you can cast and call if you wish) and light the fire candle and incense (sandalwood or other protection incense) and call upon the Lord & Lady (your god/dess or Hestia) and ask for blessings and protection upon the bottle and items and state clearly why your performing this magic.

Once stated (for me I'll be asking that our home be watched over protected and all negative energy sent or flowing this way go around or back the way it came.)

Place the objects one by one into the bottle (or jar) and envision protection, your home shielded in bright white light and the god/dess watching over you and your home. Once all items are gone pour in the red wine and say:

Salt of protection, blood red wine,

Pins and nails, guard me and mine.1

Charge with passing through the smoke and flame, them spit on your finger and seal the jar/cork lid tight by running your finger around the seal. Place in the area of choice (mine is full view) but you can place near the centre of your home and hide the bottle (or jar) from view.

Keep dust free and they'll serve you well.

*During any act of these spell workings must you think of those whom are sending negative energy your way. These are purely acts to make you feel protected and cleanse the house and home of the affected area. Building strong security and making those whom have attracted you learn from their mistakes and live with the 'three fold law'.

The above spells also cater for the 'Evil eye' which is envy of what someone else has.

I've taken these measures and have shared them for others to hopefully deal with positively/ Transformed when this may occur in their lives.

~*~

I also ask kindly of my fellow readers to send positive thoughts and protection prayers to me and my family in the time. That would be welcome and lovely.

Bright blessings,

Evening breeze.

---

1 Sally McSweeney

Ghost Stories

The following are two ghost stories that I have experienced myself in the time I spent in Reading with my long term partner. They have stayed with me and I feel will for many times. I just feel like now is a good time to share these with you. Also I would love it if you could tell me some of your own experiences. Scary or just mystical its just great to share while reading and drinking a good cuppa!

The ghostly Crow:

This was way back in 2002 when I was visiting for 3 weeks in Reading at the first uni rental and near the house was this small Victorian built Policeman's cemetery that also housed rich wives and husbands of the surrounding area. They had a couple of deer families in there and many crows. I used to like walking through there and I was doing my photography course and snapped a few photo's. There was this small (I mean tiny) gravestone that this crow regularly sat upon (every time we entered through the front gates. So it was the last week and I thought I'd snap a photo of him. I mean my partner and I had seen him, though many other visitors had just walked past apart from the occasional child whom spotted and said 'look a crow!' 'yes, darling that's lovely' replied the parents (we all know children can see spirits).

I thought nothing of it until when I had my photographs developed the crow was in the picture. I was sure he was in the shot when I'd taken it. I looked through and none of the crows were in the pictures all but little faint white spots (orbs to some). I have kept the photo and still to this day I swear those crows were there and he was in my photo when I took it.

I mean the legends of crows that I know are that crows are spiritual messengers and take those souls of past dead to the underworld. That to have a crows feather means you can send messages to past loved ones or to those whom have lost contact with you and they will write (or in modern times call) back. That to have one as a spirit animal will guide you through tough challenges ahead and make you strong and keen to succeed.

The Victorian flatmate:

Well this was in the second uni rental and was in 2003. I have always been able to sense and see spirits since I was a child and have continued to throughout my adult life. I walked in through the door and whoosh my sense were a;live with presence and visitor activity. In total two spirits and a whole lot of negative energy in the hallway upstairs.
When ever you walked up the stairs you got the feeling someone was just a couple of steps behind you. The fellow housemates also commented on this sensation regularly. I discovered it was a young blond boy who was about 6-7 years old. He was harmless and found this a fun little game to amuse himself. He was just in visitation and only in the hallway.

The other spirit was not friendly, nor in visitation and was permanently there (or next door). They made themselves know to me as soon as I sat down on the sofa nearest the wall to next door. Whoosh, suddenly frozen and a tall, Victorian lady (about 18 years old) glaring down upon me. I literally jumped off the sofa as I wasn't expecting that dramatic entrance. She had a very pale face, brown straight hair just loosely in an up do. White floaty gown and always carrying an angry glare my way. I feel in life she wasn't a pleasant women and was even less so in the afterlife. Maybe explaining why she chose to stay in this world, and march between the two houses.

If I was anywhere in the living room or kitchen, she'd be right next to me, staring into my back. The bathroom was also down stairs though it was a new build and because of this she could not travel into that section of the house (only areas that they walked or were original to that time of which they lived can spirits move in). So she just focused her energy and stood in the door way that led the the separate toilet and bathroom. For a while it put me off lol.
I got used to her and just ignored her intentions, or the occasional scare; like moving small objects or banging on the wall. Repeating my name was a common one.

The negative energy collected upstairs I felt was something to do with her, so I cleared that right up along with the rest of the house, which then seemingly brightened in both feel and light in the house. Even though she still walked when I was around, her anger had lost its hold.

So there you go, two stories from my own spirit encounters. I met a lot in my time staying in Reading and many visits to other historical and religious places.
Please do let me know yours.

Blessed be,

Evening Breeze

New Diet and Yogalates

Well, I was getting fed up with my body and personally more how I felt on the inside.

I decided to cleanse myself both internally and externally.

So in order to do this I am ridding myself of things that my body doesn't need and only filling it with what it does need.

For me my body requires magnesium, Iron and protein. So I am swapping foods for food that fit into these three requirements. Also I am removing chocolate, crips and as many carbs as I can and only eating wholemeal pasta, crackers and bread. Also I've cut back on my coffee and need to cut back more on the coke cola. Replace those with green tea, smoothies and orange juice. I also need more Calcium and so will have to occasional Milkshake.

So far its working beautifully. I feel more healthy, my skin is clearning up and I have lost weight also this is due to me doing 3 times a week worth of Yogalates.

My mum has been striving to find me my Yoga and Pilate's fix that I was putting of to do when I got a job (I'm still hopeful!) then recalled a VHS of Yogalates by Solomon from Australia.

This is a two part lesson that helps me to tone and build my muscles. By strengthening through Pilate's and then making myself more flexible through Yoga.

Here's the websites: http://yogalates.com.au/

I am pleased with the results so far and feel more in tune with nature and have received better meditations after I started this. I've only been doing this for a month an have got my waist back and lost cellulite and fat from many areas of my body. I even dare to wear clothes that I shoved in the 'I'm to fat' draw! Excellent.

Bright blessings for all those on the hunt to find the goddess within.

Evening Breeze

Quick Beauty Magic

You will need:

A tub or bottle of moisturiser
A Candle (pink, red or white)

The Spell:
Dry skin or puffy eyes when you've got a new bottle or tub of your favourite moisturiser (shop bought or hand made).
Place on your altar and cleanse of all negativity in this world and in the astral then taking a Candle (Pink - Beauty, White - Purity, Red - Love)
Cleanse the candle and prepare it in your personal style (with oils or like me by blessing it.)
Then light the Candle and say the following while holding your hands above or on the tub/bottle:

Beauty with in,

Show from without,

Cast away all selfish doubt,

Let ME see how gorgeous I am

and fill my heart with personal love.

Removing all guilt I once held in my heart.

I am BEAUTIFUL!

Blessed Be.

Now its charged and when you place it upon your skin look in the mirror and see your beautiful and feel the joy and warmth fill your heart.

Snuff the candle after you feel your finished and keep it wrapped up in tissue paper or a spare cloth. It's to welcome in the coming of srping and the awakening of the Goddess after a long winter and her young maiden self looking out upon the land. With signs such as snowdrops and leaves budding on the earlier of trees and bushes the land is starting the rythem of awakening those who've slumbered well during the cold harsh winter.

Brigid's day is the 1st of February and after Imbolc has passed through the srping flame the following day is Blaises' Day on the 3rd. Its a busy few days in the pagan/witch calander after a slow and cold January. The Quickening Moon shortly follows on the Monday ready to let go of old ties and awaken fresh into the new cycle of the seasons.

Luckily this year in the UK it has snowed on this Sabbat so I can draw an image of the Sun to welcome his glory back high into the Sky - (Thinking of the heat of Lammas as I do so). As many Imbolc or Candlemas rituals or spells invole snow and Ice with candles to help visualise the end of Winters' grasp and becon forth the heat of summer.

Brigid:

(pictured above)

A well known Goddess or Saint whom many call upon and have sacred fires buring in her honour.

Brigid is a well known Goddess and has many associations with fire, fertility and birth. Smithcrsft, healing, a warrior and the arts in poetry.

She was the european equivilant of Epona, and a Triple Goddess but not the common associaction of Maiden Mother and Crone. More with her many talents gave her the 'sisters' sides and the Title of 'Three Blessed Ladies of Britian.'

She has also appeared in Autharian Legend and is associated with the Fey before later being made in to a Saint.

Many make Brigid Corn dolls or Brigit's Crosses or sun wheels.

Lighting candles and buring the greens are customs performed in her honour.

Imbolc, Imbolgc, Candlemas:

Is a Feast of Flames , Festival of Light a Fire festival and sometimes labled a Greater Sabbat* and is the ceremony of honouring the Goddess (Brigid) and her recovery of giving birth to the God (as such the birth and growth of the land).

In some Covens or witch traditions the High Priestess will wear a crown of small candles and walk the circle to signify the Goddess strength and her movements of the seasons into the light of spring and summer months.

The light of many candles is lit today corresponding to the drawing in the essence of the sun to the people. If it happens to be snowing place a bowl of snow on the altar and as it melts it'll help speed the spring season in.

If you haven't snow some ice cubes will also do.

Candle magic and blessing of candels and dedicating them to Goddess Brigid to her service is most common a practice.

Divination before the Void of the 1st Quarter moon is performed tapping into the energies of the Triple Goddess.

It is also common for many witches to begin spring cleaning and cleansing areas of where scrying or divination is held. To re-dedicate ones self to the craft and to welcome the goddess in with lighting and candle and blessing the house each room at a time (saving the Kitchen, hearth of the home till last) and performing the Solar Cross. Other activities included making dream pillows for every member in the home, and placing three ears of corn upon the front door as symbol of the Triple Goddess and leave until Ostara.

~*~

Also don't forget to care and bless your animals for safety and remeber to place food for the birds and smaller animals in this harsh trasition of winter to spring!

*(though personaly I don't see any Sabbat greater or lesser, just a wicca view point)

~*~

Blessed Be, and Bright Imbolc!

Evening Breeze.

Holiday and then greated with Snow

Well, I have been away on holiday the last week. Though before that time has just gotten away from me as I've been hunting for work, spring cleaning my room and other minor things.

The Holiday was lovely and a well needed break from the world. My family and partners went to Centre Parc's set in the Elvedan Forest. It was lovely to have the experience and joy of sooo many animals greating us, close encounters with squirrels, Ducks and even Grouses! I didn't taken many photo's but I shall post them on here very soon.

Along with the snow that started Sunday morning and has persisted through the night and all of today. My brother and I have just been out for a stroll for milk and eggs (I predict Omelets tonight!) It was dry and no wind chill so didn't feel that cold. Though I am sad that I cannot make the walk to see my Nephew enjoying the new wonder that is snow and also my Husband - (we live apart due to lack of money and other annoying things. Plus we want to live in Canada so might as well wait it out) - So hopefully I shall be able to tomorrow. I also have an Interview for a new course I'm hoping to take: Secetarial. Though if the snow's still bad I'll be unsure if the buses are on and may have to reschedule for the following week.

I personally feel this is the work of the Snow Queen (briefly mentioned in an earlier post) As she doesn't like us to forget her cold heart and winter wrath. The last time we had snow was in June last year. I know its normally more expected this time but I felt it in the air on Friday (before we came home) and was certain of the snow lasting longer than predicted by the Weatherman.

I haven't been to see my Woods but I shall go this week as I'm sure they look beautiful decorated in the snow, and most of the mischievous ones would have fled for warmer groves. Leaving the frost pixies and snow bells to play.

I hope your all well and will be writing much more than I have of late!

Evening Breeze x

Consecration Ritual for Tools and Decks

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Pa9zxAoQTbs/SWDbxniKaTI/AAAAAAAAAPE/UBjFALE8lCs/s320/Xmas+08+022.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287467608005306674" />

Well today is my Birthday and my parents have given me my first Tarot deck. Its faerie folklore by an english artisit whom lives in the New Forest (I visit there every January for holiday) so I felt very connected to these cards when I saw them.
I'm looking forward to using them in my spell work and later readings for myself and others.

So here is my Consecration Ritual that I adapt depending on the item being consecrated into your personal craft. I know this isn't always required for everyone but mine is merely to help my focus the energy and purpose of the tool.
Though in my kitchen I don't do this are the tools are versitiel!

So here is the Ritual:
Place the deck(item) upon your Altar, hold your hand above it and say:

I cleanse you of all negativity in this world and in the Astral.

Take up the deck(item) and present it to your Chosen Deity (Or skip this part if not relevant). Say some words of how you feel or want to use the deck(item) for and its purpose/meaning.

Place the elements (in order of your choosing) upon the Deck(item). So sprinkle the salt, run through the sacred flame, fan the incense and drip upon with water.

Then hold the deck(item) in your receptive hand and place your Dominate hand above knocking once upon the deck(item) this clears it of any remaining energy and fills it with white light.

This part applies to Deck's only:
Thumb through the cards to imbue them with your energy and a way of the deck to getting to know you. Once finished fan the cards and place them near your heart and re-apply your intention of use and then say:

Please help all my readings to being blessings to everyone involved.
Blessed Be.

Leave the item on your Altar and let it charge before use.
----
Usually about a week after I'll present them to my Woodlands as a final sentiment of my working with Mother Earth and its place in this.

Blessed Be.

New Year Chant

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 175px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Pa9zxAoQTbs/SVodT8qbMzI/AAAAAAAAAOk/sdCu33eYiqU/s200/happy72.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285569341211489074" />

As the change of the old to new the betwixt of the in between of two years we experiences the magic of the new lessons and possibilities brought with the coming of a New Wheel to experience this cycle of the coming year with new eyes and hopes of dreams to come into fruition.

For this I have used a chant I found in my spell a day book by llewellyn in 2003 written by Abby Willowroot. I've found it to help me focus and look forward to with open arms and heart to the New Year.

This is a spell for letting go of things which hold you back as we move into the new year. You can use white candles to symbolise this passing:

Blessed year passing
away,
May your joys with me
stay.

Make me lucky, make me
wise.
Magic blessings before
these eyes.

Magical time between
old and new,
Yesterday and tomorrow.
Lessons learned will be
due.
Pass away regret and
sorrow.

Magic passing stay with
me,
And I will hold you dear.
New Year's Eve and
New Year's Day,
Let the spirits of
possibility play.

Words that open doors
to secrets old and new
dear.
What I reap return to
me.

Tomorrow begins
another year.

Skills I have to grow
and blossom.
Talents I lack will come
to me.
May lessons learned stay
now with me,
With open eyes I am
free.

Grow powers in me and
vision true,
to clear the past and
grow anew.
None og the past will
cling to me,
I am happy.

So mote it be.
-*-

I hope this helps you as much as it does for me and may you all have a wonderful New Year's Eve and Day. I have been busy with Yule like us all and doing my last Stall (13th Dec) and then just winding down for winter. Just a couple of embroideries to do one being my Yule celebration.
Anyone doing anything nice for Yule?

I shall be just lighting candles saying a few words and working on my embroidery to celebrate me thinks. May take a walk in the woods to catch a glimps of the Holly King on his walk before I completely avoid my woods over the coming days to christmas far too many cheeky fey's in there when his King is present!

This is my small Yule decoration for this year (as my altar is only small as is my room!) and I have been burning it daily for the count down to both Yule and commercial Xmas.

Well I hope you all have a very Bright Yule and enjoy meeting the Holly King as will I and have a Merry Christmas getting all the blessings you hope for. He according to legend and from various fairy books I've read works with the Snow Queen. Whom is a well known seducer of men to steal their souls.
Jack Frost however is a Nature Spirit and is well mentioned throughtout mythology along with Puck and Jack in the Green.

Jack Frost is much like them a playful spirit whom loves to cover the land in ice and nip at fingers and noses with the cold. He is rarely seen and you may just catch a glimps of something in white or silver icicles from the corner of you eye.
Although the wounder he creates delights all be sure to keep warm and wrap up well in these times of ealry morning frost and delight!

He'll be heard laughing as the cold breeze takes away your breath at adults falling on the slippery steps. For his mistress it the Snow Queen whom hates all warmth and light and if you slow for only a moment he can draw the very warmth out from within the marrow of your bones. So tend the inner fire and keep walking out of his sight.

He's since been every night the sky has been clear or the air cold and thin.
I love the frost but I have not ventured into those woods during the morning visits for wary of seeing him like I did once as a child.

Enjoy your frost.
Blessed be.

Evening Breeze

* My refference and a delightful book on Fairies is by: Francis Melville - The book of Faeries. He was frozen as he had seen me just on the little front part for the pot plants. Frozen and just watching, I froze to and pointed him out to my lover. I was so excited I just stared happily at him. Looking at how beautiful and cute the hedgehog was. I quickly went in to get my parents. When we came out he was wondering off to hide behind the fern. Well I'm unsure what happened afterwards but my lover told me he proberbly took my directions to go round the hedgehog gap into the garden for the night.
I hope so! We have many hedgehogs but they never seem to be in our garden. We have many other creatures but not the ones I would love the most. They are my favourite along with deer. Which I seem to be collecting hehe.
Anyway here is a photo of ones across the road (beside the house) and busy doing the whole mating dance and snuffle shuffle across the grass. It is the 6th day of this continual weather (of rain or just gloom). The moody sky makes the trees stand still awaiting the change. Statues to its silcence and meloconly. No wind to send messages of whispers to one another, just steady rain of drizzley or torentional kind that clings to the fabric of me, hoping for warmth to steal.
When I awakw the mist of rain eiawa like a yawning ghost blanketing the aths, tress and gardesn with its flowing arms.
The birds feeds are empty swining together in the gale winds. As on my craft related blog (Tiny Miso Stitches) how I got into craft work and eventually my complete addiction to embroidery, crochet and cord making. So now do you faith/witchy one. Okay for them this is it:

Well, I guess I have always been interested in it and as a child growing up with a Spiritualist household and family heritage (have spirits and talking to them/seeing them is normal in my family/home) and I guess discovering through a back injury that I have been a witch/hedge herablist in all my past lives made this choice an easy and natural one. Though at 12 I didn't know that part. I guess I can say I am more than fortuntate to have a family so open minded and ready to acept my choice of faith and let me practice it continually. I was merely drawn to it. So I just did my reasearch and looked at many other religous choices and found no draw to them. I mean the only thing about Christianity/Catholiosium is the songs. I love Choir and it played a huge part in my childhood/secondary life. If there was such a thing as a Pagan choir I would be a part of it! Perhaps when I have my life on track I shall create one.
Anyway I digress. After considerable research and dilibiration I found my answer and beginning of the journey in my (and most thumbed and continually apart of my life) Teen Witch - By Silver RavenWolf.
(Your issues/views about her and her choices are irrelevant to me I do not want to hear them. Thank you)
This was and still is for me the best book and non discriptive of a path or chosen way to perform spells/ritual. She just gave me all the information I needed at the start and how to go about improving myself and my life.
So I read that cover to cover and continued to look back at it for inspiration and kick starting myself when I felt a laps in my life.
Skip to being 20 and now I am at uni and learning the stuggle of incorpuration witchcraft into my life and what path I chose to follow. As for me being electic is something I would discribe my fashion and decor not my witchcraft (It just wasn't for me).
So I had been a practicing witch from about 12 and more of a researcher as I became older but still celebrating holidays and doing mostly divination and prayer work.
I am now 23 and as of yet I have to find a perminate job (I know there is one and I have absolute faith in the Universe providing one for me and myself in striving to look for one). So this has given me time to do my crafting but also to re-look at my choice of faith and path. I guess I want to rekindle the emotions I felt when I was 12 and growing as a Teen constantly doing spells and rituals. Doing healing magic and dancing the sacred spiral to reach a tantic meditaional state of mind.
Now erm not so much. lol
So hence the title choice (also because I am so accident prone lol). Its also why I started this blog. It was for me to realise and see the beauty of Earth Mother and Sky Father in the everyday and feel the engergies and changes of the seasons more by aknowledging this in the written form.
Its helped hugely! I mean I do more prayer work, Daily Devotions and have done some candle magic, bought more seasonal realted display things so I can place these on my Altar and observe them. I have picked up where I left off on my written side of my practice and re-looked at that and taken and added new views and feelings about my Path. This is mine alone althought I can share with you how and what I do/feel you can only walk with me you don't fall when I do but you are there when I need you.
This is a journey that doesn't happen all at once and I guess now I take that time to enjoy the process and see how it progresses and how I progress and change for the better. I may not do rituals and I do a lot of my sesonal work and Divination in just Sacred Space. This is my choice. I also do magic or mostly its prayer and chant work when it feels right, in that moment and spontanous and without checking all those corrospondences. That is what real magic is..natural and you. Being a witch is how you make your self better and do your worship and work with the Divine. Not about the books or their paths. They are aids and inspiration for you to add and collect and work forwards.
I am a keen writter and so I have three running path books and one journal of it.
Though if asked what type of witch I am (I hate being asked that, its along the same lines of 'So are you working?' Its pure annoying and painful for you have to explain yourself to make others understand and also 'is it a good witch?' because bad witches exsit? Erm no they don't they come under: Loosers - messing without understanding) I would say I am a Woodland Witch (because I love woods and I do most of my working in them or with items from my local woods) and that falls under the catogory of: Natural/Green Witch. (ahh catagorys are also stupid, I'd rather just say: I am witch and I love woods, deal.)
Anyway I digress again. So for me I guess its more of writting down all these views and bits of information I agree with and then following the path that flows from that. For the information is my views + information + corrospondences and that would go into the BOS and then Rituals + Spells + spontanous practice goes into BORituals.
Then everything else that is not part of my personal journal would go into my BODivination. Covering a wide range of subjects and my personal growth and teaches of my family heirtage. Then from all this I hope to somehow be my witchy self and have included it into my life and not part of it.
I hope this helps and perhaps makes sense.

Bright Blessings x
ps. sorry its an essay :S
* The photo is my own and of the Lynn Valley (Vancouver,Canada) woodlands that I love so much.

My friend Tree

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Pa9zxAoQTbs/SRRKyqHt41I/AAAAAAAAAK4/7zkN163Ivc4/s320/Autumn_Tree_by_Broken_Forever.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265916098463523666" />

My Friend Tree.
We call him Big Ben.
He's played many things in our games round the close.

A home, Den, enemy's hideout,
A clock tower,
But always a friend.

I don't know what type of tree he is,
I guess I could learn.
Then I just assume,
He'll always be there to observe.

*His Autumn colours. Its a heredity gene in the body and I had it passed down from my Father. I also know that this will be passed on to my children. Even though it may not make itself known it will be within them and they will carry it on. I live with it, by looking at it as a gift from the God/dess and know that rather than hindering me it enhances who I am and my creative abilities in my life.
2) I I've never owned a pet of my own but have looked after or babysat many other friends/family pets. Oh I would LOVE a pet, but I know that at the moment I am far to poor to have one, I also still live with my parents and I guess I shall just have to wait till I move out to Canada with my partner and then I can have all the cats/dog I want!
3) I love Care Bears and have a huge collection and will never give them up. They have been with me since I was a very young girl and have played an active part of my story writing and my childhood play. I love all the films, own all the series and lots of collectobles and almost all of the toys just need 5 more ^^
4) I have a scar on my lip that I got from an accident as a child. This is how I discovered that I have low blood presure and have to vigliant of my water and sugar intake and body temp so as I don't over heat and pass out. Or become dizzy. Ah the fun of the human body and inheretance of gene's.
5) I'm addicted to books. Its my first love and I have more books than I have space.
When I move out I'm soo going to have to have my own library just to keep them all neat and organised! I also cannot stop buying books even when I'm poor! Its doesn't help that my brother's girlfriend works in a bookshop. Stop feeding my addiction.
6) I'm totally accident prone. I will bang my elbow on every door handle I can lol and even fall over my own feet. Its not a constant thing more of me paying less attention to the world around me. I am always off in my head somewhere thinking of craft projects, stories and witchy ideas.

I decided to tag some of my Pagan sisters ~ my 4 choices:

Crafty Witch
A Pagan Tapestry
Bohemian Witchcraft
Crochet n' Garden

I know its annoying to some but its small peice of fun and interesting for others (I hope mine is lol) Anyway, sorry its not overly facinating. I am however always open for questions, boring and random ^^

Bright blessings x

Mist, Fog and Magic

I awoke this morning to find it was a faint misty day (though now it has gone) of the faint ghosts dancing up the paths around the houses and in the woods down the road from my home. Enjoying the chance to dance before the Sun burns the remaining dampness away and the Otherworldly feel created vanishes. It reminds me that perhaps when this month continues we may have more mist that turns into Fog.

I enjoy the faint misty days and how the sunshine looks like a sickly golden glow through it. Its a good time to walk through and feel the sensation of being close to the 'Otherworld' in woodland and all around but when evening draws in and night time approaches its best wise to stear clear of the woodland and feilds for the mischeif ones awaken and ghosts creep towards the open land. The same can be said for fog. Though I would suggest only staying on human created pathways if the fog is thick (for common sense but also its not best advise to go into woodland for fear of being lost) and stay in human populated areas and street lights.

Though if you find yourself out at this time in mist or Fog then and your either having to walk in country area's or upon paths down streets with streetlights guiding your way ut feel as if you need extra protection from lerkers in the mist or fog with you. Try this handy little chant:

Using the streetlights or torch in hand say: (as many times you feel to repeat it)

Magic Light,

Shinning Bright,

Cast away all darkness

in your sight.

May you enjoy your walks in the mist and Fog.

Blessed Be.

Happy Halloween/Samhain

Halloween Poem

Witches' hats and harvest moon
Ghosts that dance to a haunted tune.
Apples, goodies, food galore
Halloween has this and more.

Fairies, gnomes, and funny clowns,
Mum and I go 'round the town.
Cats and pumpkins, friends to meet
Everyone says 'trick or treat'!

*Taken from Halloween - By SilverRavenWolf (2000)

The Samhain embroidery was made by me! He had proberlby enjoyed skating around covering all in sight with his frosty fingers.

Lately I have noted that Autumn is not as vibrant or in full swing as it should be. We have had many up's and down's in the warmth of the months with it going from warm to suddenly freezing winter temputures. So I feel what is a normal Autumn is slightly delayed and rushing to catch up with how the weather is moving.

Though I have enjoyed the last smells of Lavender before they close down and wait until spring once more. I still feel the Trees and plants are feeling the brunt of the rash change in climate.

Though the Harvest is over and Samhain is closing in upon us to mark the letting go of things no longer needed and honouring those whom we miss in our physical lives. I have seen the woods near by begin there closing of the doors and the veil thin so that those mischif of heart are now to be seen.

It means those like me whom enjoy being in the woods, and there notice the most in changes of the season and practice their craft with in the woods or with woods gifts. We know to walk only through them in the day and that it is best to be in open areas with trees around for when the night closes in and also on Samhain itself.

Woods are difficult to navigate when in dusk and dark also. Even more when Mischief is free to wander and can be seen. So take no walk in the woods and don't follow any 'strangers' into them either.

So enjoy Autumn and all the nuts that fall.
